Welcome Vita Bella

I ENJOYED A GLASS OF CHIANTI this week at Frankfort’s newest restaurant, Vita Bella. I sat down at their small bar and watched the many eager guests arrive as I enjoyed my old-world wine, people watched, and ordered a woodfired Sopra pizza to go. A big smile joined me during my brief stay.

I had stopped in earlier in the month during their first week and got a quick tour of their restaurant by Ed the owner and thanked him for joining Frankfort’s merchants. I have a fondness for Italian cuisine likely because it is so darned good, if done right.

I like the menu very much. It is succinct with nice offerings that hint at his Italian heritage throughout the menu. And for up north, where hamburgers are beginning to head to $15, his prices are most attractive.

My pizza was delicious, and I added some fresh basil from my indoor garden and enjoyed it in my own kitchen thinking it would last two nights. Not a chance.

My goal is to try most of his entrees celebrating the 2021 season that is completely welcome in more ways than one.

“The philosophy behind Vita Bella: authentic, delicious food crafted with passion and a whole lotta love.”
